Bijal – Maternity Photos

Posted on May 8, 2014

I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph my friend Bijal who is an expecting mother. This is the first pregnancy shoot I’ve done! I’d say it was a success!

All images were shot using the Leica M (Typ 240) and the 50mm Summilux-M and 21mm Summilux-M using natural light.

St. Petersburg Grand Prix – Josef Newgarden

Posted on Apr 2, 2014

I had the amazing opportunity to photograph Josef Newgarden and his team behind the scenes at the St. Petersburg Grand Prix. I used the Leica M Monochrom, 50mm Summilux-M f/1.4 and 24mm Summilux-M f/1.4. I also played around with Silver Efex Pro for the first time. I’ve processed many Monochrom files, and I must say Silver Efex gives you a lot more flexibility than Lightroom. I’m definitely impressed!

Awesome first race Josef! Good luck the rest of the season!

Cornel & Sena

Posted on Jan 9, 2014

A wedding I attended a little while ago. I wasn’t planning on shooting, but last minute I grabbed the Leica M (Typ 240) and 50mm f/1.4 Summilux, and I’m sure glad I did. The photos turned out beautiful considering the very, very low light situation.

Argentina

Posted on Apr 30, 2013

On April 5th, two of my girlfriends and I took off for Argentina. This was our first trip together and our first trip to Argentina. We started off in Buenos Aires with steak and tango dancing. Next, we headed north to the falls of Iguazú, one of the world’s largest waterfalls. Iguazú was literally the land of rainbows and butterflies. From there we made our way west to Mendoza, the home of Malbec. Needless to say, we drank a lot of wine. We biked through the vineyards and went horseback riding with a couple dapper young gauchos.

While I took a good thousand photos, here are a  handful of my favorites. I brought only the Leica M9 and a 50mm f/1.4. This was the first time I traveled with the M9 and I must say it was the perfect travel camera. It’s small, it’s solid, it takes great images and, to your average person, it looks like a shitty old film camera.

First Communion

Posted on Apr 30, 2013

This Saturday I photographed a first communion party. I didn’t really know what to expect, but when I arrived I found a dozen little kids breaking out in the Harlem Shake. I have to admit…I kind of had fun with this shoot. Besides, there were cake pops, very good cakes pops. Here’s a few of my favorite shots…

The runner-up to the dance off. I thought she did a terrific style.

Of course, where there are children, there will be crying.
